Today was our first day in Oban, after arriving late (around 11.30pm) the night before, we had a very lazy start with our RIB dives kicking off around 1pm. The tides were flooding into the Sound of Mull and this gave us the perfect opportunity to dive a favourite wreck of mine, The Thesis.
We descended down and out of the dark, the wreck emerged at around 16m. The mooring buoy is attached at the bow and as we descended the flooding tide was starting to move. To the starboard bow there is a big hole in the side of the wreck which makes a superb entry point. From here we descended through the wreck, which is open to the sides and has lots of exit points above. The stern sits in around 28m of water with the rudder at around 32m. This is a great wreck to develop your wreck diving skills on.
