All child care providers in the UK must have completed a suitable sanctioned paediatric first aid course.
The Emergency First Response Care for Children programme provides first aid training for child care providers requiring the skills for work purposes and is suitable for parents, teachers, nursery workers and playgroup leaders. The course runs for 12 hours (2 days) and meets the requirements of OFSTED and Surestart for registered child minders. Upon completion of the course a Care for Children completion card will be issued.
