The PADI Seal Team is for young divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? These are AquaMissions that introduce you to wreck, navigation, buoyancy, underwater photography, environmental awareness and more.
Here's your chance to do some cool stuff in the pool, meet friends and share in the adventure of the underwater world.
What do I need to start?
- Child of 8 years of age or above
What will I do?
Each Seal Team Diver will complete 5 individual AquaMissions which are comducted on the first Saturday of every month at our dedicated Seal Team Sessions. These AquaMissions last approximately one to one and a half hours each with the time in water being between 45 minutes and 1 hour and run over a 5 month basis. The following is a list of what you will complete during each AquaMission:
AquaMission 1
In your first AquaMission, you learn the basics of diving. You get to breathe underwater, learn about your air gauge and practice hand signals with your instructor and PADI Seal Team friends. It all starts here - have a great time!
AquaMission 2
In AquaMission #2, you build on your scuba skills by practicing regulator skills. By
learning good regulator recovery methods, you become a more confident diver and great PADI Seal Team buddy (more on that later).
AquaMission 3
In the third AquaMission, you learn mask clearing, octopus breathing and hand signal skills. After this AquaMission, you're more than halfway to becoming an official PADI Seal Team member!
AquaMission 4
In this AquaMission, you learn what it's like to be weightless - just like an Astronaut in space! Controlling your buoyancy - being able to "hover" underwater - is one of the most important skills for a PADI Seal.
AquaMission 5
This is your last AquaMission for level one! After this you'll be an official PADI Seal Team member! Get ready to show off what you've learned as you move on to your Specialty AquaMissions.
After completion of
the first 5 AquaMissions each Seal is rewarded with a PADI Seal Team
Membership card and certificate and may progress onto the Specialty AquaMissions. These include Night Diving, Photography and the very popular Inner
Space, where they’ll fine-tune their buoyancy skills and construct an
underwater space station while hovering weightless.
Completion of all 10 Specialty AquaMissions earns the student the PADI
Master Seal Team membership - accompanied by its own recognition card
and certificate.
