As a scuba diver, the health of aquatic ecosystems is often what makes a good dive. Become aware of the fragileness of coral reefs and how you can help preserve them.
What do I need to start?
- There are no dives or age limits. Divers and non-divers alike enjoy learning about the aquatic environment.
What will I do?
The AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course teaches you about the vital role of coral reefs in the marine environment. The course also familiarizes you with the current state of the world's coral reefs and how you can help. You will learn about the Project AWARE Foundation and :- How coral reefs function

What's next?
As you learn about coral reef conservation you may also want to work on a conservation project as part of your PADI National Geographic Diver certification.
Since fish life and coral reefs go hand in hand, it also makes sense to learn about fish identification with the AWARE Fish ID course.
You may also want to brush up on your digital underwater photography skills so that you can document and capture images of the conditions of the reefs and species you’re encountering.
You may want to do more Specialty courses, to put you on your way to achieving the highest PADI recreational diving rating of PADI Master Scuba Diver.
