IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix

Learn to plan stage decompression dives down to 48m, using enriched trimix and nitrox gases to extend bottom time and shorten deco-stops. This is your gateway to technical deep diving.

Who is the programme aimed at?

  • Recreational trimix, 40m certified divers looking to extend their diving towards 50m
  • Divers wanting to conduct dives requiring decompression

Programme Pre-Requisites

  • Advanced open water or equivalent
  • IANTD Deep diver
  • IANTD Recreational Trimix diver
  • 18 years old
  • 15 years old with parent or guardian authorisation
  • 30 logged dives
  • Medically fit to dive

  • Equipment Requirements

    • Twin-set with isolation manifold
    • Decompression gas cylinder
    • Bottom gas regulators
      • 2 x first stages
      • 1 x long (minimum 1.5 metres) low pressure (LP) hose and second stage
      • 1 x short LP hose and second stage
      • 1 x standard high pressure (HP) hose and submersible pressure gauge (SPG)
    • Deco gas regulators
      • 1 x long (minimum 1 metre) LP hose and second stage
      • 1 x short (15cm recommended) HP hose and SPG
    • Wing and harness
    • Appropriate exposure suit, fins and mask
    • Reel and SMB
    • Compass, SPG and 2 x depth and time devices (trimix computer recommended)
    • Writing slates / wet notes and pencil
