Despite my best efforts to ruin the Open Water schedule, you guys still managed to get me qualified in time for my trip to the Maldives. Fantastic. This was done regardless of people’s time and with a tremendous amount of good humour and civility – I am truly indebted, and I am pretty sure this would not have happened anywhere else. Peter Graham - Essentials Program - January 2011
Thank you for the time and trouble you put into the course, the final session of which was Friday 28 Jan 2011. With over 230 dives under my belt one might be tempted to think " what will I get out of a course that covers buoyancy, trim and propulsion in three sessions". My response now that I have attended all three sessions is " quite a lot actually".
Having spent most of last year undergoing Divemaster training it was a refreshing change to have some "me time". There was no one else to watch and there was no Marine life or wrecks to grab my attention. There was just my diving skills to practice under the close attention of an experienced instructor. The fact that there were only four students meant that you could give each of us the individual attention we needed in relation to our level of skill. I now feel more relaxed in the water with a true sense of weightlessness. My body position in the water has improved as a result of thinking about what I am doing and practicing the tips you gave to me, and I am more aware of my orientation. The finning techniques you showed us have resulted in more relaxed swimming and more gente breathing.
I am now more aware of the effect even a slight adjustment to my kit can have on my trim and hence my comfort in the water. I don't doubt that further benefits will come to mind during future diving. This is definitely a course for experienced divers. Beginners would get a lot out of it but not the polish that it would give to those of experience.

Katy Holland - PADI Open Water Diver Course - Dec 2010
Having decided to embark upon a diving course in preparation for my holiday, I telephoned Diving Leisure and was answered by Alex, who was the most helpful and unbelievably enthusiastic person i think have ever spoken to! He gave me all the info I needed on the courses available and reassured me after I spoke about my fear of being under water!!
The course was quite intense, but the instructors were amazing. My main instructor, Nat, was so patient and understanding - a real good laugh, but incredibly professional with it.
The whole team at Diving Leisure are fantastic. They are friendly and make you feel part of the 'team' from day one.
My whole experience has been without fault. Without the Diving Leisure I couldnt have accomplished my PADI Open Water Diver certification. They have helped me to over come my fear of being underwater, and for that alone I am incredibly grateful.
Cheers guys, you really were fab!!

Good morning
I just wanted to drop you guys an email to say ‘thank you’ for the bubblemaker session my son and nephew attended on Saturday. Patrick and Luke had a brilliant experience thanks to the efforts of everyone at Diving Leisure. From the moment we got to the shop everyone made us all feel welcome and were really friendly. At the pool, their instructor was really good with the boys and also put my mind at ease as I was obviously a little nervous.
Patrick can’t wait for the next PADI seal team to start and I look forward to hearing from you about registering him on the next course.

The Robinson Family - PADI Open Water Diver Referral - Aug 2010
Just returned from Malta - what a fantastic time we all had. We all sailed through the Open Water Referral part of the course thanks to the thorough and professional approach taken to the confined water skills by the instructors and dive masters at Diving Leisure. I am sure that without the help, support and patience shown we would have taken much longer.
We enjoyed it so much we even booked and thoroughly enjoyed 4 pleasure dives, including a wreck dive and a dive through some caves, and have the "bug" to now do more diving.

By nature I always want to get the best for myself and certainly the best for my money. After deciding that I was going to learn how to scuba dive I researched almost every company that offers the PADI qualification in the Yorkshire area. After numerous website visits and phone calls I was impressed by the friendliness and contactability of the staff at Diving Leisure, even when I turned up late one Friday after work they were more than happy to take the time to point me in the right direction for my goals and to clearly explain what course was best for me.
Upon taking the PADI Open Water Diver course I was amazed at the professionalism and natural ability of the teachers to clearly explain what was going to be covered in that lesson and then get me to perform the skill so it became second nature and a natural part of diving. To say that Kat and V are enthusiastic is an understatement, their personality is infectious and really helps in learning new skills.
Having seen other students been taught how to dive in resorts around the world I can truly say that the teaching here is second to no one. Even if you're thinking of learning to dive on holiday, do yourself a favour, learn properly and professionaly with Diving Leisure and then you'll be miles ahead of those people that "learn" abroad.

This is exactly what I did in October of last year and, after deciding that DLL did indeed look like the diving school for me, so I thought I would call in and have a chat. From the moment I walked through the door Alex made me feel immediately welcome and took the time to talk to me about the PADI Open Water course and exactly what it entailed. He talked with enthusiasm and passion and I booked on the course for November, there and then!
Kat was my instructor and, yet again, I was immediately put at ease by her confident natural approach to teaching and sheer infectious excitement for diving. She is encouraging, professional, patient and most importantly makes the whole experience of learning to dive fun and exciting, which not only makes it enjoyable, it makes you feel confident in your own diving ability. The whole team at DLL are excellent, welcoming and friendly.

Oh, one last thing, the water is a little colder in the UK than your exotic holiday spot but do you know what, you won’t even notice, not only will you be in a nice dry suit you will be having too much fun and excitement to care!

I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic weekend I had on the trip to Eyemouth. Not only were the dives great, but Mike and Andy were super instructors. It makes a world of difference to your confidence when you're trying out something for the first time - in my case, diving in UK waters - to have instructors who are as patient, understanding, and most importantly encouraging, as Mike and Andy were, and it's thanks in no small part to them that I think all of the 3 novices (of which, of course, I was one!) all got such a lot out of it.
Let me know when you're running any such similar guided trips (of which I hope you run LOTS), and I'll be first in the queue to sign up :0).

Hi AlexI originally booked a PADI Open Water Course with Diving Leisure to be followed with a referral out in Egypt for the open water dives. All the instructors were so professional and extremely patient - me being a very nervous student - I always felt that I could go at my own pace and was never rushed no matter how many times it took me to complete a skill, making each pool session enjoyable and fun. The confidence they gave me made me change my plans and I cancelled the referral and completed the course here in England with the 'TEAM'. Learning with Diving Leisure was the best decision I made.
